This Privacy Policy explains how Shakti Wings Community ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about the people who use our website, mobile app, and services (collectively, "Platform").
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, mobile number, city, state, optional profile photo and bio.
- Marketplace activity — listings you create as a seller (product name, description, price, images), orders you place as a buyer, reviews you write.
- Community activity — posts, comments, likes, and images you share on the community feed.
- Wallet & rewards — SMC coin balances, earning history, and redemption activity that you generate on the Platform.
- Payment metadata — when you recharge or purchase, we receive a payment status/reference from Razorpay. We do not store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials — these are handled directly by Razorpay under their own privacy policy.
- Device & log data — basic technical logs such as request timestamps and IP address for security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies / local storage — a JSON Web Token (JWT) stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Platform (authentication, community, marketplace, wallet, leader cards, chapter join requests).
- To process purchases and coin redemptions via Razorpay.
- To display your public profile information (name, city, chapter, photo) to other members where you have chosen to make it visible.
- To moderate content, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To respond to support requests and account deletion requests.
3. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these limited cases:
- With Razorpay, our payment processor, strictly to process a transaction you initiate.
- With hosting infrastructure providers (Emergent / MongoDB Atlas) that store data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Platform or its users.
4. Uploaded images
Images you upload (profile photo, product photos, community post media, review photos) are stored in our database and shown according to the visibility of the parent record. Product images and community posts are public. Review images appear on the reviewed product page.
5. Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — we never see your plain-text password. All API traffic is served over HTTPS. Admin access is restricted and logged.
6. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we immediately purge or anonymise the personally identifiable fields (name, email, phone, profile photo, city, state, bio). Financial/order records may be retained in an anonymised form to satisfy accounting and legal obligations.
7. Account deletion & your rights
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete My Account, or by visiting shaktiwingscommunity.com/account-deletion. You may also request access to or correction of your personal data by writing to shaktiwingscare@gmail.com.
8. Children's privacy
The Platform is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it.
9. Third-party links
Leader digital cards, community posts and product pages may contain links to third-party services (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp). Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date above and, where practical, an in-app notice.
